Safer Recruitment

Safeguarding and safer recruitment is rooted in legislation and government guidance to keep children and adults at risk of harm safe whilst enrolled at our Colleges and campuses. We want all students to feel safe, supported and cared for in line with the core values of our Learning Philosophy.

Safer Recruitment is embedded into our recruitment and selection process to deter, reject or identify people who are unsuitable to work within our learning environment and ensure that:

  • Students can engage in learning and flourish within a secure environment.
  • Statutory responsibilities are maintained.
  • Staff members appointed are suitable for their respective roles.

If your application is successful, your employment offer will be subject to the completion of satisfactory safer recruitment checks. These checks adhere to the statutory guidance outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education and will encompass, at a minimum, a DBS Check, reference check, prohibition check, and an identity document check to verify your Right to Work in the UK within our learning environment.
