Our subcontracting opportunities 2026/27

We are seeking subcontracting partners in relation to the following opportunities. If you are interested, please contact Richard Durston with the title of the opportunity you are enquiring about. You will then be signposted to the relevant faculty team that is managing the contract for initial discovery conversations. 

Should you wish to proceed, we will then ask you to complete the due diligence Pre-Qualification Questionnaire Process. On successful completion you will be asked to explain more about how you will undertake delivery by completing our Invitation to Tender documentation. Both the PQQ and ITT will be scored to select the most appropriate partner. 

Potential applicants are advised to note that all but one of these opportunities are currently being successfully delivered with existing partners for the 25/26 academic year and this is part of an annual re-tendering process. 

16-19 Study Programme Offer - Oxfordshire 

We are seeking partners to support in the delivery of an offsite study programme provision to engage learners in developing warehousing experience alongside English and maths in Oxfordshire for no more than 50 learners. This provision should have a real focus on creating a bespoke learning environment focusing on SEMH and helping to progress individuals where traditional education has been a barrier.  This provision would need to comply with 16-19 funding rules and regulations and be delivered as part of a shared delivery model with Activate Learning staff.     

The successful partner will need to work with us within the limitations of the 16-19 funding lagged funding formula whereby successful delivery in 26/27 will lead to lagged funding being received by all parties in 27/28. 

All applicants will demonstrate robust quality assurance practices, health and safety, child protection and safeguarding policies.

Supported Internship - Berkshire 

We are seeking partners to support in the delivery of supported internship and employability programmes to move a small number (circa. 35) Reading College and Bracknell & Wokingham college learners with EHCPs into sustainable employment or volunteering opportunities in Berkshire. This provision will focus on developing young people's employment skills through intensive job coaching in the workplace and sourcing placement opportunities with employers. The provision will be co-delivered with the Colleges who will undertake employability preparedness classroom provision for one day a week, with the successful partner co-ordinating, monitoring and supporting workplace development for four days a week.  

The successful partner will need to work with us within the limitations of the 16-19 funding lagged funding formula whereby successful delivery in 26/27 will lead to lagged funding being received by all parties in 27/28.

16-19 Study Programme Offer: Berkshire (Football) 

We are seeking partners to support in the delivery of a community-based football programme in the Reading City area. Partners must be able to provide sporting facilities for approximately 70 16–18-year-old learners including: a gym, 3G football pitch, and changing rooms. Partners will also require teaching facilities (classrooms), associated IT infrastructure, and a breakout room.  

Partners will be expected to employ teaching staff to deliver academic qualifications including:   

BTEC L1 Introductory Diploma in Sport  

Level 3 NCFE Sports and Physical Activity  

All programmes will be co-delivered with our faculty teams.  

Partners will seek to attract learners from underrepresented demographics and create opportunities through community outreach work including the provision of work experience for our learners.

Sports subcontracting in Surrey (basketball) 

We are seeking partners to support in the delivery of an elite basketball performance programme in the Guildford area. Partners must be able to provide sporting facilities for approximately 20 16–18-year-old learners including: a full-size basketball court (indoors) and changing rooms.  

Partners will be expected to provide top level coaching staff to develop the basketball skills, and aid with future progression of learners. 

Activate learning staff will deliver the educational elements of the programme with the partner providing sports and coaching sessions, support in providing work experience, and the opportunity to play in top-level games.  

Partners will seek to attract learners from underrepresented demographics and conduct community outreach work including the provision of work experience for our learners.
