Develop the practical and specialist hospitality skills needed to excel, while training in industry standard settings.
A career in hospitality and catering can be demanding and fast-paced, and that is makes it one of the most exciting industries to work in.
To succeed in hospitality and catering, you will need to be committed, resilient, understand that you won’t be working a traditional ‘nine to five’ role and have customer service at the core of everything you do. We will immerse you in the industry from day one.
You will secure a good knowledge in basic food preparation, cooking, food safety and storage and serving food and drink. You will also develop your skills in leading and supervising staff teams in a restaurant-type environment.
Study with us and we will prepare you for career success from day one:
We offer qualifications in hospitality and catering from Entry level (equivalent to Key stage 3) to level 3 (equivalent to A-levels.)
Train with us and you will learn in our industry standard kitchens and restaurants, serving paying customers and getting full experience of the breadth of roles within hospitality.
Students learn to work in a team through our brigade system, combining students from different levels. Our Hospitality and Catering provision has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
A career pathway is a series of building blocks that will take you to your future career. This helps equip you with the skills, attributes and knowledge that future employers want, giving you a greater chance of success.
Our career pathway maps will show you the best routes through college, higher education and employment and into the most popular industry sectors.

College is more hands on and different to secondary school. I have gained skills and, when I complete my Level 3 qualification, it will be more likely that I get a job."
We work in partnership with local employers, including: experienced chefs who set up live projects and large organisations who provide award winners and functions - an ideal opportunity for students to gain skills and confidence.
