Expand your understanding of theatre and improve your ability to perform. These programmes give you the chance to work closely in groups and take part in performances of both scripted plays and your own devised work. You will analyse drama texts, assist in theatre design and enjoy practical performance.

The creative industries sector is growing, with nearly 2 million people in the UK currently working in it. Around a third of them are freelancers or self-employed. In the last two years, the industry has grown by an extra 90,000 jobs.

We offer acting and technical theatre qualifications, from a Level 2 diploma (equivalent to GCSEs grades A*-C or 9-4) to university level. 


You won’t be learning in a classroom - you will be working as a professional company of artists and staging productions open to the public. You will train with industry experienced teachers in our professional studios, developing your core skills in acting, dancing and directing, to ensure that you are prepared for your future career.

Student success

Our acting and technical theatre learners progress on to higher education in the form of drama, theatre studies, performing arts and production courses. These can be at university or drama school.

We have partnerships with professional theatre companies and arts centres, including the Old Fire Station in Oxford, Reading Studio of Dramatic Art and the Mill Arts Centre in Banbury.
