Happy New Year! We hope this message finds you well?
As we embark on a new year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the values that we feel are important to us at Activate Learning, and which are at the heart of the community we strive to create at college.
Our Learning Philosophy shows how our brains work best, when people feel emotionally safe and that the environment they are in is safe and supportive.
Renewing our commitment to our Code of Conduct
How our students behave around campus and interact with one another plays a big role in this and we feel that the start of a new year provides a great opportunity to reinforce the significance of positive behaviour.
As such, we will use the start of the year to refresh our commitment to our Code of Conduct and ensuring that all our students are behaving appropriately and in line with our Learning Philosophy.
As partners in your child’s educational journey, we believe it’s essential for us to work together to ensure they have the right attitude when going about college and are behaving in a way that makes everyone feel safe.
Working together
As we move forwards into the academic year, we would kindly ask you to support us in emphasising these principles at home. Please have conversations with your young person about how they are feeling or talk to them about their interactions with other people at college.
We hope this collective effort can ensures that college remains a space where every student can thrive, learn, and grow. Together, let’s make this year one filled with positive experiences and personal development for our students.
