Support for adult learners

We provide support services that are appropriate and accessible to all our students.

Support for adult learners

We offer a range of support for adult learners who may need help with their pastoral, academic and financial needs.

Some adult students are eligible for support to meet the cost of learning or childcare, for example. Our staff can talk to you about the support options available and help put the right package in place for you.

Adult students may also benefit from additional support to help balance the demands of combining a study programme with a part-time job or family responsibilities.

How would you support me?

Mental health support is a really important part of how we help students maintain a good balance between their study, personal life and other commitments they may have. Many teachers and support staff are trained in mental health first aid to support all students on their journey.

If you are distressed and need someone to talk things through, we can help. Our qualified counsellors can discuss your personal, education or work issues. They are experts in offering strategies to handle stress, worries or anxiety. Our aim is to help build resilience and coping strategies, helping you succeed and grow.

Our Careers team can help you boost your employability skills. They will work with you to help you understand which careers may be available after your chosen study programme and to develop your knowledge of what your future career might look like. This will help you make informed decisions about your future.

Learning Support ensures that support is in place in the classroom for students with additional learning support needs. This will help you access teaching and learning and make the most of the student experience on campus.

We want to help you achieve your goals and make your learning experience as positive and productive as possible. If you need help, get in touch today!
