16-19 Personal Development Curriculum 2025 (2)
It starts with YOU.
In September, we begin working together to make this your most powerful year yet.
Where you are, what you want, how you’ll grow — this is your space to figure it out.
The Activate Learning Attributes
These are the five key skills that help you thrive — at college and in life:
You’ll explore these during coaching, and reflect on how you already use them — or how you want to.
Your Summer Task: Reflect. Explore. Get ready.
Before September, take time to think about:
🧍♂️ Who you are now
🌱 What matters to you
🎯 What you want from college
You’ll share this in your first coaching session.
🔖 Task: Your Personal Snapshot
Create a short profile that shows who you are and where you want to grow. Choose your style:
📝 Notes page
📹 Short video
📸 Vision board
🎙 Voice note
Just keep it real and reflective.
Include:
- Who am I right now?
- 3 things you’re proud of
- 3 things you want to improve
- 1 thing you’re excited about
- 1 current worry or question
- 3–5 quotes or pics that inspire you
- 1 goal for Term 1 — what would success look like?
Exploring the Attributes
Look at the 5 attributes again.
- Which one do you already use a lot?
- Which one do you want to grow, and why?
- How will this help you during college?
Use real-life examples: school, family, friends, part-time jobs, your community.
Course Level Guidance
Level 1 – Me, my college, my choices
- Write what you’re proud of and want to improve
- Pick 1 attribute (e.g. Confidence) — Google it!
- Reflect: How can you show this at college?
Level 2 – My identity, my world, my plan
- How have your background and experiences shaped you?
- Pick 2 attributes you’ve already shown
- How will they help you at college? What might be hard?
Level 3 (Year 1) – Who I am, who I want to be
- How did you handle pressure last year?
- What does “being professional” mean to you?
- Choose 1 attribute to develop — find a strategy or habit to support that.
Level 3 (Year 2) – Influence, leadership and legacy
- Who do you influence at college or in life?
- Choose 2 attributes you’ll need next (uni, work, independence)
- Write a mini action plan:
- What to grow?
- What support or habits will help?
- How can you role model it for others?
Bring your version to your first session.
It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being real and ready.
