Following the recent visit of a South African delegation to City of Oxford College, we have confirmed a new International Skills Partnership with Northern Cape Urban TVET College in Kimberley, South Africa, in collaboration with the British Council.
Northern Cape Urban TVET College is one of the few South African colleges to be recognised as a Centre of Specialisation for Carpentry and Joinery. Their project with Activate Learning will focus on the delivery of English and maths in the Level 1 Carpentry curriculum.
Activate Learning’s Director of English, Francis Lawson, visited South Africa this week. Francis attended the ISP conference in Johannesburg and visited the college in Kimberley to discuss potential delivery models. There will be a strong focus on skills with activities and assessment built around Activate Learning's learner attributes.
We look forward to welcoming our partners from South Africa in March when this project gets underway and to building stronger links over the coming year.
