Starting your adult education course
Activate Learning can help you build confidence to find that first job, advance your current career, or give you a fresh start, we have opportunities available at every level for adult learners.

GETTING STARTED – WHAT TO EXPECT
Once you’ve enrolled and your place is confirmed, make sure to check the First Day Information page and pop the dates in your diary – it has everything you need to know about when and where to go, and what to bring.
In your first two weeks, you’ll need to:
- Show your ID and any documents if needed (like proof you can study in the UK).
- Make any payments if you haven’t already.
- Collect your college ID card and lanyard, which you’ll need to wear on campus at all times.
THE SOCIAL SIDE OF COLLEGE LIFE
College is more than just lessons — it’s a chance to make new connections and try new things.
Every campus also has a Student Leadership Team (SLT). They run events, plan activities, and make sure your voice is heard. They help shape college life and improve things for all students.
If you need help settling in, our Student Support team is always there for you.
CAMPUS INFORMATION AND TRAVEL
Our campuses are easy to get to, with great transport links nearby. For travel options and parking info, check your college’s travelling to college page.
Once you're here, you’ll find Recharge cafés serving hot and cold food, plus vending machines for snacks.
