Sport and Enterprise in the Community level 2 diploma

If you want to prepare for a career in the sport and leisure industry, particularly in a community role then this is the qualification for you.

The programme will also help you to develop entrepreneurial and/or enterprise skills that are important in a community sports environment.

Our career pathways show you a typical route through the various stages of learning, what you will learn along the way and the careers these programmes could lead onto.

What I'll learn

  • enterprise awareness
  • delivering an activity session

 

How I'll learn

This qualification consists of 40-credits. You will study six core units and four optional units. The range of optional units will enable you to focus on a particular strand of learning and interest whilst the mandatory units provide a good introduction to support progress into the workplace or further study.
 

 

How I'll be assessed

You will have a work experience placement with Reading Football Club. The work experience element is key to providing opportunities to enthuse you and allow you to experience working in a community role within a professional sport club or sport and leisure industry environment.

At the end of the qualification you will gain the Sport, Enterprise and the Community Level 2 Diploma

When you have successfully completed this programme you can progress on to a range of Level 3 courses: • Sport, Enterprise and the Community Level 3 Diploma  • Sport Performance BTEC Level 3 Diploma • Personal Training BTEC Level 3 Certificate

 

Entry Requirements

You need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade D, including maths and English or functional skills Level 1 in maths and English.
