Pursue a career in football with a college study programme that mixes playing and training with coaching and learning.
If you want to prepare for a career in the sport and leisure industry, particularly in a community role, then this is the qualification for you. The programme will also help you to develop entrepreneurial and/or enterprise skills that are important in a community sports environment.
This programme is run in partnership with Reading Football Club, where students will be able to undertake an exciting work experience placement during their studies.

How I'll learn
This qualification consists of 40 credits. You will study six, core units and four optional units. The range of optional units will enable you to focus on a particular strand of learning and interest whilst the mandatory units provide a good introduction to support progress into the workplace or further study.
How I'll be assessed
You will have a work experience placement with Reading Football Club. The work experience element is key to providing opportunities to enthuse you and allow you to experience working in a community role within a professional sport club or sport and leisure industry environment.
At the end of the qualification you will gain the Sport, Enterprise and the Community Level 2 Diploma.
When you have successfully completed this programme you can progress on to a range of Level 3 courses:
You need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 (D), including maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 1 in maths and English.
