This course develops and enhances your professionalism in a business context. It develops personal skills alongside knowledge acquisition and its practical application.
You will learn in a variety of ways on the Business (Finance) Level 3 Extended Diploma including team activities, visits to local businesses, entrepreneur competitions at university, visits to SAID Business School, research tasks, presentations, volunteering opportunities, discussions, debates and work placements are all part of the way you learn.
This BTEC course is a practical work and business-related course. All units are assessed through written and oral assignments. There are no exams. You ‘learn by doing’, i.e. completing projects and assignments based on real businesses in the area.
Being at college helped me get a work experience placement with local firm Whitley Stimpson. After two weeks’ work experience, they approached me to provide some paid work."
You will need five or more GCSEs grades 9-4 (A*-C) including English and maths or an equivalent qualification in business at Level 2.
