If you are unsure about your future plans, our impartial Activate Careers advisers can help you access information and guide you to discover the right choice for you.

As a student you can get support with:

  • Thinking about your next steps - exploring what you like (and don’t like), your interests, etc. 
  • Exploring the type of education, employment or training that‘s right for you and what the labour market looks is like now in your chosen area - with resources such as the National Careers Service website, Oxme (run by Oxfordshire County Council and Elevate Me at Reading and Bracknell Forest.  
  • Planning a career pathway, with clear, practical steps you can take to achieve the career of your dreams. This will help you build the qualifications, skills and experience needed to succeed.
  • Progressing to university - check out www.ucas.com and www.prospects.ac.uk

Career support for adults

Aged 19+ and looking for support with your career plans? We are happy to support you under the National Careers Service. The National Careers service provides access to independent, professional advice on careers, skills and training.
