Ben Knight combines a varied and rewarding job at the Oxford Lifestyle Centre with studying for a degree in Sports Coaching, Fitness and Rehabilitation at City of Oxford College.
Ben started his pathway with Exercise, Health and Fitness Instructor Level 1, and found transferring to the college after completing a year of A-Levels “a drastic, but good, change.”
After his first year, he joined a personal trainer apprenticeship programme. He describes this progression as being “The easiest transition. It is all laid out really clearly.” Ben’s ultimate goal is to work with professional footballers.
Ben’s advice to new students is “Don’t get stressed because it all works out. By moving away from my first option of A-Levels into something more practical, I found something that I loved, and I found my career.”
