Developing Woodwork skills

The course will focus on developing skills in the use of hand tools in the production of projects that you can take away.

The course is run in 5 week sessions throughout the academic year on Thursday evenings between 6.30 and 9pm.

Our career pathways show you a typical route through the various stages of learning, what you will learn along the way and the careers these programmes could lead onto.

What I'll learn

You will learn the basic woodworking skills and gradually build up practical knowledge and confidence through workshop practice.

The course will focus on developing skills in the use of hand tools in the production of projects that you can take away.

 

How I'll learn

Each block of classes will focus on a different project. Previous projects include a chopping board and a small stool.

How I'll be assessed

There is no formal assessment.

 

Entry Requirements

No previous experience is needed. Basic materials are provided but more complex projects may incur an additional charge.
