Health and psychology combine in this engaging and practical Level 3 course.
You will learn about key studies and approaches in a variety of areas of psychology from social psychology to biological psychology and apply them to aggression, gender and consumer behaviour.
What I'll learn
This qualification is the equivalent of an A Level and can be studied alongside two A Level qualifications.
The units studied include:
- Psychological Approaches and Applications
- Conducting Psychological Research
- Health Psychology
- Introduction to Psychopathology
In the second year, you will learn about health and psychology, including stress and illness and explanations and treatments of mental disorders.
How I'll learn
You will have the opportunity to conduct your own research study and write it up as a piece of formal coursework.
How I'll be assessed
You will be assessed via a mixture of internally marked coursework and externally set exams.
For this course, you should have a demonstrable interst in the subject.
Qualifications will be discussed at interview.
Places will be offered after the interview and will depend on your suitability for the course and the number of places available.
