What I'll learn
This degree will give you an insight into legislation, conducting investigations and the criminal justice system in the United Kingdom.
We are dedicated to giving you the skills that you will you need to pursue a career in Law enforcement.
You will be given the opportunity to join the Special Constabulary or volunteer with the Police in your second year, which will allow you to obtain operational training.
In your final year, you will deepen your understanding of policing, whilst being able to specialise in areas such as Cyber Crime and policing on the international stage.
You will gain a BA (Hons) Policing accredited by the University of Northampton (subject to validation). Graduates are likely to find employment as police officers or in the wider police service, performing support roles. You could also pursue careers as officers in the armed forces, the security services, or in a research role.
How I'll learn

You will progress from theoretical learning covering equality and diversity, investigating a crime scene, professional development and legislation in Stage one to more practical sessions in later stages of the course.
