This course follows on from the Level 3 Diploma and deals with more complex issues that Accountants have to master.
It requires a more in depth knowledge of the accounting standards and framework that influence accounting practice. We develop your ability to analyse, summarise and explain essential accounting procedures. The course is taught by module with an assessment at the end of each one.
What I'll learn
You will learn about the preparation of company accounts, analysis of financial performance, budgeting and credit management, business tax and management of accounting systems.
You will gain a professional qualification that is recognised by employers and which gives exemptions from exams for qualifications awarded by the Chartered Accounting bodies - three exemptions from ACCA exams and five exemptions from CIMA.
How I'll learn
You should allow 9-12 hours a week for additional study time.
The course fee includes tuition and exams but you will have to purchase books from Kaplan which cost £156. You will also need to pay AAT membership fees.
How I'll be assessed
The course is taught by module with an assessment at the end of each one.
Entry Requirements
Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Attendance and number of resits taken to pass a unit will also be taken into consideration.
Your standard of written English needs to be at a high level because much of the course requires written responses.
