Digital Photography: Advanced

Print Page

This six-week advanced Digital Photography course is great for people who already have some knowledge of digital photography and who are already using their cameras off auto.

You will learn to build on the basic operations of a Digital SLR camera, along with developing techniques to produce individual and creative outcomes. Some simple post-processing techniques will also be covered.

Our career pathways show you a typical route through the various stages of learning, what you will learn along the way and the careers these programmes could lead onto.

What I'll learn

This course provides no formal qualification but will enable you to either develop your personal use of a DSLR camera or to progress on to any of the following courses: Analogue Photography, Advanced Creative Photography, Photoshop for Beginners, Bookbinding for Beginners, or a full-time photography course at college.

Alongside the other evening courses, this course will aid the production of a comprehensive portfolio of work.

How I'll learn

You will learn in our well equipped classrooms and facilities, supported by an industry experienced tutor, working individually and in a small group.

Courses will run on a Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 9 pm. The emphasis of these courses is on developing a creative use of your camera. Courses will involve some optional homework to fully benefit from the teaching.

How I'll be assessed

This is a learning for leisure course. There are no assessments or qualifications as part of this course.
