What I'll learn

The course will centre around developing oral skills and revision of grammar in context and based on the needs of the group. Much emphasis will be placed on learning new vocabulary in order to be able to communicate more effectively.
Your tutor will select the most appropriate resources including articles from the German press, the Internet, books and films to stimulate discussion and encourage debate.
The course will cover topics related to the German speaking world in order to enhance and extend your cultural awareness.
You will also be encouraged to select topics you find of particular interest and, if possible, bring materials to the classes to stimulate debate under the expert coaching of your tutor.
You will be asked to produce two pieces of written work per semester for on-going assessment purposes.
