Film Club for 12–16 year olds

Think you've got what it takes to be a movie director? If so, this Film Club is for you!

 Do you enjoy going to the movies? Do you wonder how Hollywood productions are made? Have you ever wanted to try making a film yourself for others to see? If so, this Film Club is for you!

As a Film Club member, you will plan, film and edit short films.

Film club runs in series of five consecutive Saturdays from 10am–12:30pm.

What I'll learn

 You will learn how to tell stories using a camera and will end up with short finished films whilst making new friends and having fun.    
 
 

 

How I'll learn

You will learn how to use a camera for filming, techniques on shooting for film and basic editing skills.

 

How I'll be assessed

There are no formal assessments on this course.

 

Entry Requirements

If you have your own camera, feel free to bring it and use it.

For teens with smartphones, we’ll be looking at a few free apps that you can download onto your phone in order to use it.

For teens with neither their own equipment or a smartphone, we’ll have equipment available.
