Filmmaking at Banbury and Bicester College is designed to encourage you, the next generation of film-maker, to develop your talents and give you the broader work skills you need to succeed as a filmmaker.

You’ll be introduced to a variety of pre-production, production and post-production skills and utilise our industry-standard filming and recording equipment.

You’ll create, edit and present work within our media centre, gaining competence in Adobe Premiere for visual editing and Adobe Audition for audio editing.

Our highly-experienced tutors will give you an overview of the TV and Film industries and build the skills you need to work confidently as part of those industries. This will involve study of professionally-produced media products (films, TV shows, adverts, music videos, etc.) and you and your peers’ own audio/visual productions.

When you graduate from this programme, you’ll be prepared, confident and highly trained in Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition and the use of professional equipment.

You’ll explore, develop and test your creativity through stimulating and demanding practical exploration.

The course also incorporates relevant and exciting work-experience placements, designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge needed to progress into employment.

Previous placements have included BBC Radio Oxford and ITV’s Endeavour.

To complete this course you will be required to use a variety of skills working both in groups and individually.

The course is 100% coursework (there is no exam), featuring both written and practical assignments. This is internally assessed and externally moderated by UAL Awarding Body.
