This course is for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. It aims to develop your personal independence and life skills, and provides you with opportunities to develop communication, life skills, problem solving, decision making and practical independent living skills.
Our career pathways show you a typical route through the various stages of learning, what you will learn along the way and the careers these programmes could lead onto.
On the Preparation for Supported Internships programme, in our learning companies and classroom learning you will develop:
Learning is through practical activity including teamwork group work projects and external visits into the local community.
Assessment is through the development of a portfolio of evidence to meet accrediting body requirements.
Chad has developed his employability skills through a work experience placement at a community centre, preparing and cooking food. He has been offered paid employment.
The only entry requirement is that you have a successful interview with a member of the course team in order to ensure that we can fully meet your needs at Banbury and Bicester College.
