Develop your practical skills in cutting men’s hair, preparing for employment as a barber. You will be trained in different men’s hair techniques and supported to secure a placement in a barber’s shop for one day a week.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will attain a Level 2 Certificate in Barbering. You’ll have the skills and knowledge to join a barber shop in a junior role or progress to a higher level qualification. Alternatively, you can also earn while you learn with one of our apprenticeship opportunities.

You need 4 GCSE grades 3 – 9 (A* to D), this must include English and preferably Maths.
A recent, positive school report demonstrating commitment, good attendance and punctuality.
A successful complete the initial interview in order to progress on to this course.
All students will be expected to purchase a hairdressing kit and uniform as part of their commitment to this course.
