What I'll learn

You will learn basic barbering skills including:

  • cutting men’s hair and facial hair
  • styling men’s hair
  • shampooing and conditioning the hair and scalp
  • client consultation
  • promoting products and services
  • relevant Health and Safety

Upon successful completion of this course, you will attain a Level 2 Certificate in Barbering. You’ll have the skills and knowledge to join a barber shop in a junior role or progress to a higher level qualification.  Alternatively, you can also earn while you learn with one of our apprenticeship opportunities.

You will be continually assessed by your tutors throughout the course

 

Entry Requirements

You need 4 GCSE grades 3 – 9 (A* to D), this must include English and preferably Maths.

A recent, positive school report demonstrating commitment, good attendance and punctuality.

A successful complete the initial interview in order to progress on to this course.

All students will be expected to purchase a hairdressing kit and uniform as part of their commitment to this course.
