This is a flexible study programme for learners who need to develop independence and confidence before they move on to other courses in college.

Learners are expected to stay on this programme for one year. This will be reviewed in the summer term.

What I'll learn

In a friendly environment, we will help you to develop skills and learn independence while still having support. You can try lots of different subjects, depending on your interests and needs.

How I'll learn

All learners study a vocational subject, maths, English, work skills and life skills and do work experience. You can work at your own level and speed and you will have specialist support from tutors.

How I'll be assessed

This is a flexible study programme for learners with support needs. They may have gone to a mainstream or special school.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this programme, just a simple college interview. Your application must be supported by your school and/or Connexions.

Learners may have done GCSEs, ASDAN or BTEC at school and had help from learning support. They are likely to have an EHCP.
