Follow your ambitions of a career in football with a Level 3 course that develops talented players while providing full-time education.

If you want to prepare for a career in the sport and leisure industry, particularly in a community role, then this is the qualification for you. The programme will also help you to develop entrepreneurial and/or enterprise skills that are important in a community sports environment. 

This programme is run in partnership with Reading Football Club, where students will be able to undertake an exciting work experience placement during their studies. 

About Football Academies at Activate Learning

What I'll learn

You will learn the skills needed to work in many different roles within the football and community coaching industry. You could alternatively go on to a career in training and assessment. You will also gain work experience that will give you confidence to find employment once you have completed the course.

Successful learners can progress to our Activite Learning degree programme in Coaching, fitness and rehabilitation or follow their pathway to employment.



How I'll learn

This programme is run in conjunction with Reading Football Club and learners will have an opportunity to gain experience in their Football in the Community programme.


How I'll be assessed

You will learn in a practical enviroment combining theory and practical skills which will be assessed in a variety of differing ways.


Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including Science, Maths and English.


A Level 2 Diploma in Sports or Science with merit or higher and Functional Skills at Level 2 in Maths and English.
