This is a general Business English course for people with intermediate or upper-intermediate levels of English who need to improve their English for professional purposes.

It is suitable for people with and without experience of working in business environments

What I'll learn

This Business English course provides practical reading, speaking, listening and writing skills for people who need English for working in business. It will improve your ability to communicate effectively in the workplace. 

 

How I'll learn

You study a wide range of essential business vocabulary and grammar and you learn with students from all over the world (maximum class size: 20 students). 

Areas that you learn may include: 
• advertising and marketing
• customer service
• making arrangements
• making small talk
• business accommodation
• cultural issues
• teamwork
• investments
• language for describing graphs/charts
• recruitment, job applications, interview strategies and writing CVs
• writing reports
• formal and informal letter writing
• appropriate register and tone
• giving presentations

 

Entry Requirements

You need to show that you are intermediate or upper-intermediate level of English. All new students do a placement test.
