The course is designed for you to join the electrical industry as an electrician, typically as an apprentice.

The course is designed for you to join the electrical industry as an electrician, typically as an apprentice. It has a large practical element to give you the experience and skills required by the industry including installation, inspection and testing of electrical circuits and systems.

This course is the best route for those who want to work as electricians but who cannot find an Apprenticeship. This course does not guarantee an Apprenticeship. You should apply to companies directly if you want to be an apprentice.

This course is extremely popular and places are limited. We advise you to apply for the course as soon as possible and also to apply for an Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation.

Entry Requirements

GCSE grade A*-C/9-4 in either English language or maths. Candidates who achieve C-D/4-3 grades but who have a strong desire to succeed in the industry are also welcome to apply but attendance at GCSE classes may be required if accepted. If you do not have a grade C/4 in GCSE English language or maths you will be required to be working towards achieving this alongside your course.
