What I'll learn

Get a solid grounding in the electro technical industry with the Diploma in Electrical Installation Level 1. This course offers sound basic training for prospective electricians who need to know the techniques, technology, science and health and safety required for electrical installation work.
 

 

How I'll learn

The course blends practical workshop skills and activities with underpinning knowledge that is delivered in the classroom. There is an active online learning platform, so you can view information and link to interactive activities outside of lessons.
 

 

How I'll be assessed

You are assessed on your practical work and job knowledge.
 

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants for a Level 1 programme will normally have:

  • a strong interest in their chosen programme of study
  • the commitment to work towards improving English and Maths as part of the programme
  • the ability to discuss past experiences of education and future ambitions in an interview

Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and complete an internal assessment. All students will have their literacy and numeracy needs supported within the programme.
