The Level 3 qualification is designed for students progressing from the Level 2 qualification. The course provides students with the knowledge, skills and understanding required to gain employment within the industry.

This programme will suit you if you have a good understanding of basic electro technical principals and want to develop your skills.

The Level 3 qualification is designed for students progressing from the Level 2 qualification. The course provides students with the knowledge, skills and understanding required to gain employment within the industry.

What I'll learn

You will learn about topics including:

  • understanding the fundamental principals and requirements of environmental technology systems
  • principles of electrical science
  • electrical Installation, fault diagnosis and rectification
  • electrical installations, inspect, testing and commissioning

When you have successfully completed this qualification, you will be at an improver/ Electrician's mate level.

 

How I'll learn

This is an advanced qualification that tests both practical- and knowledge-based skills in a realistic working environment.

 

 

How I'll be assessed

Attendance of 100% is necessary to complete this course.

 

Entry Requirements

You will need five GCSEs at grade A*- C or 9-4 (or equivalent), including English language and maths or above or Merit grade in a BTEC Level 2 diploma with functional skills at Level 2.
