You will make a variety of arrangements suitable for weddings. This is a mixed ability class suitable for beginners or those with some experience of flower arranging.
The class will cover a variety of techniques and principles of flower arranging.
There will be demonstrations and practical work to give you the confidence to develop your own style and create a variety of arrangements suitable for weddings such as table arrangements, bridal bouquets, buttonholes and corsages.

What I'll learn
You will learn the following:
- conditioning and preparation of plant material
- know the characteristics of fresh plant materials
- wiring and taping techniques to create buttonholes and corsages
- techniques and mechanics needed to create a variety of wedding designs
- practical experience of constructing a variety of creative arrangements
How I'll learn
Teaching methods include:
- Formal instruction
- Individual tuition
- Practical demonstration
- Practical experience
Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to develop your skills according to your own specific needs.
Some experience of flower arranging would be beneficial but not essential; you work at your own pace and level. All students are supported by the tutor throughout each project.
All costs are included in the price. Specialist materials and tools will be given out by the tutor if necessary.
You will need to bring:
- one or two roses
- ivy leaves or other small foliage
If you would like to include other materials in your buttonhole such as other foliage, or small flowers, please bring some although not necessary.
Please ensure materials are long lasting.
Tutor can provide wire and tape for a small charge
