Experience the joy of creating a beautiful surface pattern design and applying it to a tote bag that you will create.

This course will introduce you to a range of textile techniques which can be built upon each week creating samples and your own designs.

What I'll learn

You will learn a variety of textile and surface pattern techniques such as dyeing, printing and applique.

You will gain new skills in surface pattern processes, mixed media textile layering, sewing and construction techniques. 



How I'll learn

You will learn through using equipment such as screen/stencil printing, using dyes, fabric inks and gain experience in how to use a sewing machine.


How I'll be assessed

There are no formal assessments for this course.


Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. 

You will need to bring along a meter of white cotton or white calico fabric for all your samples and to make your bag, any other fabrics, threads and other haberdashery items you may like to incorporate.
