Explore printmaking in a fully equipped print studio with support and advice from our experienced print tutor.

This 6 weeks/ 18 hours course is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fully equipped print studio with support and advice from our experienced print tutor. Find out more about the possibilities of working with this traditional craft!

You will explore a variety of Printmaking approaches such as silkscreen, lino, drypoint and monoprint. You will develop your own ideas and artwork, with support from the tutor, to produce editioned, finished prints.

You will also learn tips and tricks for working successfully with this media and find ways of incorporating print into your own personal work.

What I'll learn

You will gain an understanding of the processes involved and the knowledge and confidence to plan and complete your own prints.

How I'll learn

You will learn about the many different approaches within Printmaking. You will also have the opportunity to explore and try them to find ways of incorporating them into your own personal work.

Printmaking can be messy. Although aprons are provided, it may be sensible to wear old clothes!

Please note that this course does not run during the half term/ end of term breaks.

Entry Requirements

No experience is necessary. This is a fully guided course and you will be supported by our tutor throughout. Do try and bring sketchbooks or drawings which can be used as the starting point for ideas and printed works.

If you have considerable experience, you could consider our associate artist scheme in Printmaking instead.
