Do you want to learn how to make jewellery? This course gives you a broad knowledge of the different materials and techniques that are used in the jewellery making process.
Students will learn how to make their own unique piece of jewellery through practical demonstrations and exciting activities.

On this course you will learn:
how to design and make jewellery specialist techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, forging and texturing, cleaning and polishing
Teaching/learning methods are through practical demonstrations and student activities – you learn by doing, and by practising the processes on an individual basis at your own pace.
There is no formal assessment but your progress is monitored to encourage personal development and progression of skill level.
I’ve enjoyed working with different mediums and doing lots of things that I hadn’t done before. Not many schools can offer the facilities that they have here.”
Some experience of jewellery and metals would be useful but not essential as you work at your own pace and level.
Equipment is available in our jewellery/metals workshop and specialist metals can be bought from the tutor.
