Explore the qualities of colour and light in glass as you create a unique glass pendant or set of coasters.

Come and join us on this adventure!

You will explore the subtleties of combined colours and textures and the changes that occur through the refraction of light.

Topics will vary per series:

Coasters and Pendants   9–16 October
Christmas Decorations   4–11 December
Plates and bowls   22–29 January
Window Decoration   11–18 March
Oval Mirror   6–13 May

What I'll learn

You will develop practical skills leading to the production of one or more glass objects. 


How I'll learn

You will develop design techniques, learn about different types of glass and their qualities and when and how to use them.

Experiment with glass techniques such as cutting, fusing and the addition of colour and texture and we will explore examples of the work of practising glass artists.


Entry Requirements

Please bring pencil and paper! Glass cutting equipment will be provided.  

Extra costs: Bullseye glass may be bought from the tutor on the day. Cost varies according to the colour and type of glass.

Collection of work: Work will be fired at the end of the course and students will be contacted once it is ready for collection.
