On this one day course, you will decorate a square sponge cake to look like a party present complete with a sugar ribbon, bow and a star explosion.

1. How to level and fill a sponge cake.
2. How to flat ice a sponge cake using sugar paste.
3. Make decorations on wire.
4. Ice a cake board using sugar paste.
5. Use cutters to create decorations in wire.
6. Wire and tape a start explosion.
7. Make a sugar bow using sugar paste or florist paste.

No experience needed, although knowing how to cover a cake would be an advantage.
