Swedish body massage is used to alleviate stress and muscle fatigue. A practical introductory course to teach you the basic techniques to massage the back, arms, hands, legs and feet.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to perform Swedish massage treatments on the main areas of the body to alleviate stress and muscle fatigue. This also includes the correct and professional set up of the working area and relevant health and safety requirements.

What I'll learn

Our Swedish Body Massage course will teach you everything you need to know, including: 

  • Setting up a working area.
  • Health and safety requirements including contra-indications and contra-actions to massage treatments.
  • Back massage.
  • Arm and hand massage.
  • Leg and foot massage.
  • Aftercare for body massage.
  • Benefits and effects of Swedish body massage.

This is a practical introductory course to teach you the basic techniques to massage the back, arms, hands, legs and feet.

 

How I'll be assessed

There are no formal assessments for this course.

 

Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications required however all learners must feel comfortable working on the above areas of the body and experiencing massage treatments each week. You may prefer to enrol with a friend or partner.
