Make a unique and special Mother's Day gift on this fun short course!

Make a heart-felt and unique Mother’s Day gift by creating a special Pot-et-Fleur, using flowers and potted indoor plants of your own choice, together with fresh flowers.

During this fun-filled day, you'll make a special and lasting present, which can be revitalised with fresh flowers to keep the design ever fresh and different.

This half day event is designed for all abilities working under the friendly and experienced tutors’ guidance whilst working at your own pace.

Spring and Summer Flowers course at Waingels or other Flower Arranging classes offered at Woodley Hill House and The Cornerstone.

What I'll learn

On this course, you will learn about:

  • conditioning and preparation of plant material
  • the characteristics of fresh plant material
  • how to group indoor plants of similar nature and horticultural requirements and combine them with fresh flowers



How I'll learn

You will learn through a combination of:

  • formal instruction
  • step by step practical demonstration
  • group discussion and evaluation
  • practical experience with one-to-one support


Entry Requirements

Please note that there are  additional costs of approximately £10 for flowers and plants for this half day course

As a guide you will need to bring approximately:

  • 5/7 round shaped focal flowers of your choice.
  • Floral foam.
  • A variety of suggested foliage plants of varying textures and leaf shapes.
  • Bowl or large pot of neutral colour - suggested size; diameter10” x height 4/6”
  • Small amount of potting compost.
  • Drainage material such as pebbles.
  • Plastic or gardening gloves.
  • A small trowel
  • Flower scissors or secateurs

Suggested plants:

  • Trailing Hedera (Ivy)
  • Mexican drawf palm
  • Trandescathia
  • Chlorophytum
  • Boston Fern
