Make your own unique and personalised flower arrangements for your own home or as gifts!

The day will cover the delights of the festive season with lots of sparkle and bling! Make your own unique and personalised flower arrangements for your own home or as gifts for this special time of year. 

This is a mixed ability day suitable for beginners and those wishing to improve their flower skills and techniques.

You will be able to work at your own pace with the friendly and expert guidance from our experienced tutor.

What I'll learn

  • Learn how to create exciting Christmas flower arrangements 
  • Learn new techniques and mechanics to create both traditional and contemporary designs 
  • Practical experience of creating and completing a variety of inspiring Christmas designs 

 

How I'll learn

There will be a demonstration by our expert tutor followed by practical work enabling you to make beautiful festive sparkle flower arrangements. 

You will produce beautiful flower arrangements and be taught by: 

  • Formal Instruction 
  • Individual Tuition 
  • Practical Demonstration 
  • Practical Experience 

 

Entry Requirements

Please bring a packed lunch and refreshments. 

Design One 

Mechanics: 

  •     Glass Container – can be round, square, oblong – your choice 
  •     1 x piece of Foam Core Board or Strong Card Board 
  •     Sellotape 
  •     Copper Wire Netting or Mesh *** 
  •     Selection Dried Christmas Material – example Cones, Fungus, Potpourri, Fruit Slices, Whole Fruit, Cinnamon Sticks 
  •     Christmas Decorations – example Baubles 
  •     Note pad, pen and ruler 
  •     Scissors

Optional:  Angel Hair *** 

 

Foliage (suggestions only): 

  • Christmas type evergreens – example Conifer, Yew, Ivy leaves (with berries if wanted).  Only a small quantity 

Flowers (suggestions only):

  • Approximately 10-12 Stems of assorted flowers – example Roses, Carnations, Spray Roses or Spray Carnations.  Take note the flower heads must be in proportion to the size of your glass container 

Design Two 

Mechanics: 

  •     1 x Container – can be round or square – your choice 
  •     1 x Piece Oasis – to fit your container *** 
  •     Pot Tape – to secure your Oasis into container *** 
  •     Bamboo Sticks – for Amarylllis Stems 
  •     Ribbon – to match the colour of flowers 
  •     Christmas Decorations – example Baubles, Dried Orange Slices, Cinnamon Sticks 

Foliage (suggestions only): 

  • Christmas type evergreens – example Conifer, Yew, Ivy leaves (with berries if wanted) or Blue Spruce 

Flowers (suggestions only): 

  • 3 Stems Amaryllis only plus a few stems of Spray Carnations.  You could use Roses or Carnations instead of Amaryllis but you would require a few more stems. 

*** NOTE: The tutor will have a supply of Oasis, Pot Tape, Copper Mesh Wire and Angel Hair 

Sellotape, scissors and some bamboo sticks will be supplied.
