This specialist Printmaking Intensive is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fully equipped screenprinting studio with guidance and advice from our highly experienced print tutor.
You will learn how to create an edition of screenprints. You will use the screenprinting processes to take an idea for an image through to a final piece. You will use the presses, wash-out and exposure units and make artworks for photographic and hand cut stencils for different coloured layers, and print them in order to produce a single multi-layered image.
It is suitable for those with or without experience; those with experience can make use of the facilities to produce their own screenprinting project. There will also be opportunities to use an etching press during the course.
This is a four-day course that takes you through the processes of making multi coloured screenprints on paper. At the end of course, you will go home with your own edition of screenprints.
What I'll learn
You will gain an understanding of the processes involved in making screen prints on paper and the knowledge and confidence to plan and explore print production.
