National Fashion and Business Saturday Club

Print Page

National Art and Design Saturday Club is free of charge programme for 13-16-year-olds that forms part of the Sorrell Foundation’s National programme.

The National Art and Design Saturday Club gives young people aged 13-16 the opportunity to study art and design every Saturday morning at their local college or university for free. As well as benefiting from 15 weeks of inspiring classes, students exhibit work in their own Summer Show at Somerset House, London. They are also given the opportunity to attend a Masterclass from one of the UK’s most influential artists or designers.

Our career pathways show you a typical route through the various stages of learning, what you will learn along the way and the careers these programmes could lead onto.

What I'll learn

Club members will receive 40-50 hours of expert tuition which includes the opportunity to take part in a wide range of stimulating activities based at our specialist facilities, workshops and studios.

Areas you will learn about include: photography (darkroom and digital), graphic design, animation, printmaking, textiles, fashion, ceramics, 3D, painting and drawing.

How I'll learn

The aim of this club is to nurture young people's talent, build their confidence and self-esteem, give them an insight into college life, and show them the pathway into further and higher education and to careers in the creative industries.

How I'll be assessed

There is no formal assessments.
