Discover how to create stunning glass contemporary bowls using the slumping technique.

Kiln-formed glass can be split into three basic techniques:

  • fusing
  • slumping
  • casting

Once these simple processes are mastered there is really no limit to the creative potential of this amazing material!

During this session you will produce a contemporary bowl using the slumping technique: to heat glass sufficiently so that it bends under its own weight, taking the shape of the mould on which it rests.

No Prior knowledge or experience required. Glass will be provided.

To expand your glass skills please have a look at our other Glass courses on offer.
