Prepare for a career in the creative industries or simply improve your drawing skills with this short course.

If you are interested in pursuing a career in the creative industries, currently work in the creative industries and want to refresh or improve your drawing skills or simply have an interest in drawing, then this Level 2 Award in Drawing is perfect for you.

This short drawing course will allow you to develop your understanding of drawing and visual literacy, gaining technical skills which you can apply for practical purposes to develop your visual language. 

To communicate your ideas, you will need to develop a visual language. Drawing development is the key to unlocking your creative success in any field.

What I'll learn

You will be introduced to the basic principles of drawing, such as: measuring, observation, the formal elements of drawing and drawing from memory.

Progression is available to the Award in Photography - short UAL course. You might  also consider a Level 3 art, design and photography qualification. 

 

How I'll learn

You will gain a Level 2 award in Drawing. This level 2 qualification is  part of UAL’s 'Creative Framework' suite of qualifications and has been designed and written by a team of practitioners working in the sector.  Learners will be introduced to the rigours and rewards of exploring and working within the most fundamental of creativity activities.

 

Entry Requirements

You'll need an interest in drawing. 

Please bring in a sketchbook, paper, drawing pencils ranging from H-B, ink, eraser (putty and hard rubber). Other materials can be purchased with advance warning or via a small material fee.
