You've got the basic skills, now take your artistic expression to the next level and gain confidence in your skills.

This course is designed as a follow-on course to Art Beginners.  

It is suitable for those who wish to build on their drawing skills and confidence and who wish to explore a wider range of mediums.

On completion of this course, you may like to continue onto further Art: Intermediate or Art: Mixed Ability classes.

What I'll learn

You will develop your drawing skills by exploring a range of art techniques using pencil, charcoal, pastel, Acrylics and watercolour. You will work from direct observation and photographic starting points, studying various Artists past and present. 

You will walk away with a deeper knowledge of a wide range of materials and techniques ready to begin to develop your own personal painting style.


How I'll learn

  • individual tuition

Homework is not formally set but you may like to spend a small amount of time preparing for future lessons by gathering visual information or completing classwork as necessary.


Entry Requirements

Please bring B-6B pencils and an A4 sketchpad to the first class and advice about other materials will be given by the tutor.
