A broad art course aimed at students with either no art experience or wishing to develop skills learnt previously.

A broad art course aimed at students with either no art experience or wishing to develop skills learnt previously.  This course will cover areas such as drawing and painting whilst focusing on a variety of mediums.  You will be supported through demonstration and instruction by an experienced tutor.

What I'll learn

  • How to draw and paint from Life and Photographs.
  • How to draw in both 2.D and 3.D.
  • How to shade drawing with a variety of different techniques.
  • How to transfer coloured objects into monochrome drawings.
  • How to use watercolour pencils.
  • How to apply colour, shade and tone.
  • How to use brushes and brush technique.
  • How to use acrylic paint.
  • How to build tone with acrylic paint.
  • How to build texture with acrylic paint.

 

How I'll learn

Formal instruction.  Individual tuition.  Practical demonstration.  Practical experience.
