What I'll learn

This is an intensive course which covers subject areas including health studies, psychology and human biology. There is also a toolkit/study skills module.

The course is designed for adult learners who have the relevant work experience but lack the academic qualifications to progress to university.

How I'll learn

The course is modular and is taught through a combination of lectures, group work and independent learning activities.

The course is taught by experienced subject specialists. You will have access to our learning resource centre and support with your university application. With hard work commitment and determination, you will gain an Access to Higher Education Diploma.

How I'll be assessed

Assessment on the Access to HE Health Professions programme is via a combination of exams and coursework.

Entry Requirements

Students must be aged 19 or over. To apply for a place on the Access to HE course, there are no previous academic requirements. However, you will need to sit an initial maths and English assessment to determine if your level of literacy and numeracy is sufficient for a Level 3 course.

You may be advised to study maths and/ or English at GCSE before being considered for an Access to HE course or to study for these qualifications alongside your diploma.
