GCSE Maths (part-time day classes)

We are delighted to offer a standalone GCSE Mathematics course. This course comprises of lessons of three hours a week plus blended learning through our Virtual Learning Environment and other online resources.

Studying GCSE Maths will develop a positive attitude to mathematics and an appreciation of the place of maths in both employment and everyday life. You will learn to think mathematically, to understand mathematical ideas and how to use them. This is a great subject to help develop your analytical and problem solving skills.

If you do not have a maths GCSE at Grade 4 (C) or above, then you can study this course for free

What I'll learn

This is a GCSE Mathematics, delivered in one academic year. The course assesses students’ abilities to understand mathematical ideas and utilise mathematical techniques.

There are three core units:

  • number and algebra
  • geometry and algebra
  • statistics and number

 

How I'll learn

You will learn though a combination of traditional lessons and e-learning. You will need to be prepared for extra study and spend around three hours per week on studying away from the classroom.

 

How I'll be assessed

These units will be assessed through three separate end of year examinations.

 

Entry Requirements

You will be asked to attend an initial assessment with a tutor to identify which course is right for you.

Students need to make a firm commitment to attend for the whole course.
