If you don’t have enough GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above to study on a Level 3 course, this pathway is for you.
We recruit a range of students, including those who have missed out on their GCSEs.
If you are keen to improve your GCSE grades so you can move into further education, this programme is for you.
What I'll learn
You will be studying an intensive one-year programme that consists of the following GCSEs:
- combined science
How I'll learn
You will study using a range of techniques including group work, independent study, research, practical activities and homework.
We expect our students to be fully committed to their studies and attend all timetabled lessons, talks, tutorials and workshops. In addition, students can expect to attend trips and visits according to the needs of the individual subjects. You will also have a weekly tutorial. There are many enrichment opportunities.
How I'll be assessed
You will be assessed by a final exam.
Four GCSE Grade 3 (D or above), including GCSE English Language, Maths and Science.
If you do not have these qualifications a Science and Maths assessment can be organised at 1 hour each.
This is a very intensive course and successful candidates are required to have a basic knowledge of science and maths.
