How I'll learn

You will be taught in our well-equipped classrooms by our experienced staff. You will have your own specialist tutor who will meet with you individually on a regular basis, and as part of your tutorials. They will help you to set, review and achieve targets – ensuring you are on track to succeed in your studies. We often have guest speakers and local employers in to the college – providing exciting real world projects for our students to get involved in.

There is support available to help you make higher education decisions after successful completion of the programme, including moving on to university. The vast majority of our A Level students progress successfully to higher education after their time with us. There is also an extensive programme of enrichment opportunities on offer for our students, and you will be encouraged to select from a range of activities to supplement your studies including volunteering, work experience and sport.

How I'll be assessed

Formal assessment for A Levels is through examinations.

Entry Requirements

You will need five relevant, exam-based GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C) or above, including English language and maths where appropriate.

Although BTEC qualifications and coursework based GCSEs may be useful for specific subjects, they would normally be taken into account only once the basic entry requirements have been met. Additional specific GCSE grades are necessary for many of the subjects.
