Got an interview at Activate Learning?

Follow our top tips for interview success.

After you’ve submitted your application, we will let you know as soon as possible what the next steps are.

In the meantime, read through our interview tips below to start preparing for the opportunity to showcase you and your experience.

BE CONFIDENT

If you've been invited to an interview, then we think you’d be a good fit for the role just as much as you do. So, relax and feel confident. Prepare thoroughly and get to know us as well as you can. Have a look at the campus page for the college you're applying to. Find areas on our website that interest you and think about how you’d like to make a difference in our organisation.

BE SELF-AWARE

Review the job description, revisit your CV and pick from it specific examples of how you’ve demonstrated the required skills in your current or previous roles. We want to hear about your experiences in a positive and concise manner, so that you have plenty of time to ask us questions and ensure you know you’re joining the right company for you.

BE PROFESSIONAL

Dress smartly, arrive 5–10 minutes early and remember who you’re interviewing with. While you wait, concentrate on relaxing, yes, relaxing! We want to see the ‘real’ you and can’t wait to hear more about how you express your ideas and suitability for the post. Interviews are a two-way process and building successful relationships is key in any role at Activate Learning, so be confident and actively share with us your ways of working.

BE RESILIENT

Sometimes interviews can feel a bit like a test. You will be asked questions that feel a little tricky or push you outside your comfort zone but remember: in any line of work, you might face challenges that enable you to grow and support your commitment to learning. We want everyone to do their best and demonstrate their ability to adapt and commit to delivering far-reaching and progressive change.

WE ARE INCLUSIVE

If you require any reasonable adjustments as part of the selection and recruitment process, please let us know.
